Present Future: Breath
Humanly metaphysical and intangibly organic.
Living graffiti from our XXI Century cave.
The tribe’s language
Appears on the intangible walls of Time.
Through individual interpretations of our notion of ‘Breath’, we find the expression of collectiveness and the embodiment of our relationship to the greater world.
Inhalation and exhalation, image, sound and existence are connected in the process of drawing in to draw forth the sensual and intangible, our shared environment and air, and expulsion of that from our corporeal and incorporeal selves in an endless exchange of mutual life. Inscribed on our atmospheric architecture are the signatures of our breath, our unique beingness manifested as singular but resonating formations that emanate their aura.
The once static images, conditioned by sounds of the respirations and intonations of their author, are awoken from their state of suspended animation to pulsate with life. No longer receptive metaphors and indexes of the invisible, they metamorphose as vital physical and aesthetic expressions, creating a responsive space of shared breath.
In the air are rich verbal and nonverbal exchanges, reflecting art, philosophy, metaphysics, time, poetry and life that infiltrate the body, absorb into the tissues and viscera, bypassing reason and becoming part of a spatially diffused but potent feeling. These intimate fragments of being and time linger on in us long after disengagement to dwell glittering in the depths of our interiority.
